Email Marketing: 4 Great Tips to Help Your Business

So you have created and published your website, but how do you keep your audience coming back for more? Email marketing! It's the tool that will build the perfect relationship between you and the group of people that are interested in your brand. A perfect way to keep your email list up to date on the recent posts, events or services that are added on the site.

Here are 4 helpful tips to consider when building an email marketing campaign that will make a person want to click that email and visit your site!

Tip 1. Plan, Plan, Plan

The first step to doing anything in this business is to plan out your ideas! Think about who you want to attract to your website, how you will attract this audience and what goals you would like to achieve from this email marketing campaign.

Consider the following questions:

- Who do I want to target?

- What will my content consist of?

- How will I keep my audience attention?

- What do I want to get out of this campaign?

Tip 2. Create Relevant Content

With everything going on in the world, it's easy to overlook some emails. To make your emails stand out you need to create relevant content that is relatable and interesting! Stay up to date of what is happening in the world and be aware of what is going on and what type of content is valuable and useful at the time.

Tip 3. Consider the Design Layout

Choose a design layout for your emails that reflect who you are and what your brand is all about! Pay attention to all the details of the layout like the color palette, logo, links, headers and templates. You want your audience to think, wow this looks great! And click that button.

Templates are a great tool to use if you are not interested in creating from scratch! Visit websites like Mailchimp or Canva. These websites are free and have hundreds of options to choose from without being too much of a hassle. Create, download and post the design in your email!

Bonus Tip: Don't be afraid to try different styles and test how your email list will react. Play around with the style, appearance and structure of the email and see what works!

Tip 4. Create a Call to Action (CTA)

Give your reader a little nudge. "Join our newsletter!" "Click here for..." Messages like this in the email are more likely to get clicked on and bring traffic to your website because it gives the reader an action.

Use active language and an engaging tone that will tell the reader exactly what you want them to do. Short and sweet, that's all! The CTA can be attached to an image, button or text that is easy to access. You want to make sure you don't have too many CTAs in an email, but at least one that can easily found on the page is perfect!

WARNING: Avoid using words like

"free" "percent off" "specials" and "it" within your CTAs.

We hope these four tips will help you begin your campaign journey and attract the right audience that you are searching for. Now go start planning and creating those emails!
